Story: Who writes viruses?

As much as I agree, I dont think all Anti-Virus software companies would be responsible.
Surely the ones who get the virus written would be the 1st to have a fix, thus putting them ahead of the others. On the other hand they could all be in it together(who knows). It's similar to another conspiracy about the government, that they have the technology for lifelong batteries, but wouldnt release it as it would damage too man businesses.

How could anyone prove anything?
