Story: Toshiba delays commercial fuel cell

A cynics view: "How much of this announcement is technological delay? And how much is intervention by powerful players in an energy market who will not tolerate loss of power base?" Toshiba is not the only player in this field of fuel cell based technologies. Others have had viable similar products which have quietly dissolved after 'promising starts'. Conspiracy theorists have a field day with such 'delays'
