Story: Employee home-PC scheme gets revamp

I work for one of the UK's Fire Services, and we as employees had never heard of the governments Home Computer Initiative, so I would imagine that neither has our employers. If I was to bring it to their attention, do you think it is too late for them to do anything about it. Is the closing date still December 2003? or has it been extended.
