Story: Outlook 2003 fights the spam battle
Why whenever people talk about anti-spam software do they rarely seem to mention the very effective 'SpamNet' program produced by Cloudmark (www.cloudmark.com).
Other than being a user I have no involvement with Cloudmark but have been using their product for Outlook since it was in beta.
The program works on a P2P basis in that if a user blocks an email they think is spam, everyone then gets this blocks. The advantage being, a human is almost always deciding on what is spam and it is very quick to react to new spam types.
They've just released a version for Outlook Express too and although there is a subscription required it is nowhere near the amount specified in the article above.
