Story: Mac OS X 10.3 Panther: a first look

I installed Panther today on a G4 PowerBook. It took forever to install, but when it eventually opened it looked okay. However, it seems to be full of bugs! The Finder keeps quitting, which makes life very difficult. The Mail application sometimes works, but is also prone to quitting and then refusing to open again. I've tried restarts without eliminating the problems.
I'm sending this from my desktop G4, using OS 10.2.3 while I reinstall the new system on the laptop. I just hope it's better this time round, but I'm very disappointed in its performance so far! If it goes on like this, I'll be demanding my money back!
