Story: Linux community upset by desktop deals
I think this is to be expected. I am a Linux user (on servers) and the OS is great in that environment. By 2005 I think it will be ready for the consumer market. At present it isn't. Though it can be an excelent choice for corporates and public bodies.
The first rule of marketing is "Get the product right before you start to advertise it". In a couple of years the product will be right for the home market and then it will be unstoppable.
