I love the fanboy treatment of Longhorn that this article presents. Especially since much of the OS seems reliant on conjecture in terms of what hardware will be available when it finally ships.

There are no guarantees that there will be 4 to 6 Ghz CPU's by the time this OS ships so for me such comments by Bill Gates are more than a little risky.

It's a shame the same enthusiasm of this article wasn't put into the recent OS X Tiger "first look" article this site ran... Y'know that's the OS that actually exists and is due to ship soon, not an OS that is still very much in development and possesses elements of vapourware about it
