Story: Microsoft's hacker bounty is a waste of money
Mac OS X does have a built in firewall. Like MS-Bill, it is turned off by default. Unlike Windows, most of the internet ports are defaulted to closed, with a fairly easy interface to turn on ports by protocol/application through the System Preferences/Network application.
