Story: Are ID cards a game of blind man's bluff?
I just love Blunkett's assertion that these cards would prevent identity theft. I've just received a new credit card. I applied for it online, signed a form that came through the post and then got back in the post. At precisely which point in the process would Mr Blunkett propose my id card is checked? Do I post it to the bank along with a phial of my blood for them to DNA test?
