Story: Civil liberties groups demand halt to RFID

You're too late...

Amsterdam airport and several others are going to start tagging all luggage with RFID chips in order to better track items.
Reasons are twofold:
1) reduce the amount of lost luggage (if each item is scanned leaving the building it can be more easily determined into which aircraft it went)
2) tracking of items to make it easier to track terrorists and criminals.
With the larger amount of info in an RFID chip it would be easier to find out where it came from and harder to fake.
