Story: SCO's 'Las Vegas code': All show?

Note that SCO's response just ignored Moglen's statement that the GPL is either enforceable or not. If enforceable, SCO cannot successfully sue Linux users, because the GPL gives them the needed permission to use SCO's copyrights. If not, SCO has distributed Linux in violation of thousands of copyrights, so the dubious claims that SCO might make would be overwhelmed by the mass of claims against SCO.

I think that SCO is just making threats to pump up its stock price, and never intends to sue Linux users for copyright violation. The reason SCO did not want to bring up the GPL in court was that both the facts and the law were against them.
