Story: Anti-spam law spurs torrent of complaints
Firstly, I concurr with the comments from Mr. Git.
Secondly, the form which we are required to fill in discourages complaint by it's layout and questions, which are not particularly relevant to the problem of objectionable/offensive and indesciminate spam, or intrusive cookies.
Thirdly, it appears that identifying an individual offender in UK is virtually the only circumstance in which any possible action could/will be taken to enforce the new law.
So, it's pretty toothless thus far. And what about some legislation to protect our identity when giving our details over the internet to access a service or product. So far as I can see, in many cases, once we have given details we have lost control of how they are used or misused. I can clearly relate subsequent epemics of spam after I have given my details to an organisation which should/should have been trustworthy.
Ergo, little trust in the internet. Malware and Malpractice abound and can, apparantly, be justified, at least commercially, in this brave new world. What happened to the concept of Netiquette.
And what about the children, growing up exposed to all this, from a young age......
