Already, Microsoft is making noise like a small kid. "Don't dump our software and we'll give you better services" sounds like "Give me a sweet and I'll do the homework" to me.

"Microsoft is always willing to discuss how we can help bring the value of Microsoft products and services to the benefit of consumers and businesses alike. We will continue to work closely with Austin to explore how we can best meet their business needs." sounds like a police officer saying "We are willing to discuss how we can save the hostages, for the benefit of all. We will work together so that you (kidnappers) will get what you want. (Just don't kill the hostages, my boss' gonna cut my throat if you do)"

Well, Microsoft certainly isn't a police officer, but the illustration above quite clearly resembles the reality. What do you think?
