Story: Aussie group claims SCO's demands flout law
I wonder if the same thing could be done here?
A company trying to charge people for a product that isn't their's amd that they didn't supply is clearly illegal.
From what I have seen the majority of the SCO letters demanding payment for Linux make very little mention of the fact that they have not won (and indeed are not likely to win) any legal battle over the ownership of Linux and haven't even produced any credible evidence to support their "claim" to own it.
This sounds to me like a matter that someone who knows about this sort of thing should report to the Trading Standards Office.
