What a joke. Most users don't even know what a "patch" is... and they surely don't know if it is "working" or not. Microsoft software is supposed to be transparent to the user, so easy to use that the user doesn't have to know about the inner workings of the operating system. Yet when their shoddy designs expose users to harmful risks, Microsoft expects them to know when and how to fix the problem and to verify that it is really fixed. What a load of crap.
