Story: Is it time to charge for email?
This whole idea of charging on a per email basis stinks of a conspiracy to squeeze more money out of subscription payers. After reading this though, I came up with a solution. What if ISP's were required to sell packages with a set maximum number of emails allowed per month? Honestly, I doubt most people send more then say 400 a month. To send more then that would probably be part of an email marketing campaign and as a result those people would have to pay to spam. I do realize though that getting ISP's to comply all over the world is nearly impossible.
