Story: Microsoft lauds IE as 'the most secure browser'
two things 1. if ie is one of the :most" secure what does this say about other browsers???
2. how hard can it be to make a secure system for crying out loud
a. close all ports except those used for essential services start with having only the services required for the core operations when packaging then allow servcies to be added on installation.(they sorta do this however they dont go into detail about all services which should be an option
b. programs only use 1 port not multiple ports. Notification of all uses of ports should be logged.
c.There should be an option for standard data streaming (like a firewall in outgoing and incoming mail. If it isn't inline with standard usages then the data is block and quarentined.
d. have the browser functions and the data functions seperate(sorta). That is that there is an airlock between the browser and the internet.
HOW OH HOW can there be issues that isn't complicated.
Maybe I'm just not net savy but internet "hacking and cracking should be imposible as long as you dont open up the gate or make special allowances.
there should be no integration in "datarunning" and programs themselves they should make cases... is this so hard to understand.
They are very well starting to do this but its implemented by "components"
