source code leak? excuse me, mates. isnt the linux source code out in the wild, with blessings from almost everyone? wasnt sun being asked to put out the source code for java? code leaks are only bad when the software itself isnt secure. and in this case, that bugs are found is nothing weird. after all, this is win2000, BEFORE the latest service packs, and it's a couple of years old.
above all, it doesnt show that microsoft security is lax--it shows that somebody whom microsoft is sharing code with has lax security. in fact, there have been strong suggestions that it was a certain government. this should be an embarrassment not to microsoft, but to that particular partner.
