Story: Browser battle becomes guerilla war
having used firefox 0.8 for 2 weeks, i gave up and returned to IE. it's a great browser, but too many implementations are broken. can't use yahoo mail properly. flash crashes all the time.page loading sketchy--sometimes very fast, sometimes excrutiatingly slow (something to do with the algorithm used--good thing is of course some parameters can be changed, but it's jz a pain). i don't care for tabbed browsing, i've got alt-tab, and XP's taskbar groups programs together for neatness if you want it. i really did try to love firefox, but in the end, IE just works. oh yes, especially with google toolbar, which completely eliminates the biggest advantages of firefox. so yes, IE is uncool. but it's the one i'm sticking to. perhaps until firefox 1. maybe.
