That about sums it up. In fact, not even "could", but "will".

The difference between filtering on Napster and filtering on Gnutella is that in the latter case the end user has to agree not to switch this filtering off. Which is, of course, impossible, but the people who are desperately pushing this snake-oil technology seem to conveniently "forget" this simple fact.

So far, they seem to be grabbing attention pretty well - but when the time will come to deliver on their promises, they will find that it is much harder to convince the reality to obey their orders than to misinform the press...
