I've seen Microsoft cash registers at a local grocery store. The employees complain about how slow they are.

Once, a manager was trying to open up a new line, since the other lines were pretty full. But every time he tried to log into the cash register, it would tell him the register was already in use. Finally, he had to give up & we all had to go stand in the longer lines.

Y'know, I don't begrudge Microsoft's business success. Personally, I thought the deal they had with OEMs, where they got paid for every machine sold whether or not it had Windows on it, was hilariously brilliant. The only problem I have with Microsoft is its lack of quality.
