Having to pay for (possibly) more than one functioning media players does not "help" the consumer it helps the companies. I listen to mp3s on my FREE version of winamp, watch streams on FREE RealPlayer and watch videos on FREE windows MP.
Removing the latter might induce the former to start charging for their product, making me pay for 3 rather than 0. Like I said, good for them bad for me.
