Story: Broadband campaigners demand more govt leadership

As a minnow in the campaigning scenario, I feel strongly that the government should ensure that all exchanges are brought up to the minimum standard required for broadband.

BT have set a target of 400 homes for my exchange, that represents 30% of the homes in the area which is a little on the unfair side when there are other exchanges having a 5% take-up that are broadband enabled.

The only fair way to do this is to do the lot and divide the cost equally between all users, a bit late now but perhaps with government help the situation could be redressed
