It's an interesting concept that has been taken obviously too far - specifically with the notion of blocking all traffic from encrypting applications. Encryption was created to ensure confidentiality of transmitted material. So, in the name of protecting the intellectual property of a corporation or individual rock star, they're going to take away the ability for users of a network to have a confidential discussion? This lets network monitors have more ability to invade a persons privacy than the government currently has.
