Story: Ofcom forces action on broadband unbundling

Will Ofcom's actions mean that one day soon I will be able to sign up to a broadband ISP which does not rely on a BT line eg Freedom2surf, getonline, UKonline etc? I find it very frustrating that telephone competition in my area (E London ) is limited to BT or NTL both of which are crap. I have just read about 25 reviews of ISP's which are better but all rely on BT. This is not competition. With gas and electric I have a real choice without changing my pipes or cables so why not with the phone lines?
