Story: Open-source projects at risk from repository flaw
"The Subversion system attempts to improve the usability and security of the CVS application"
Actually Subversion improves on the core functionality of CVS, clearing up a number of extremely annoying architecture-level bugs. The 'usability' is really no different since its CLI is deliberately designed to be similar to CVS 'unless their is a compelling reason' to differ (according to its authors). For information on add-on user interfaces for both CVS and Subversion, try TortoiseSVN (http://tortoisesvn.tigris.org/) or TortoiseCVS (http://www.tortoisecvs.org/).
