Story: Yahoo IM blocks Trillian access

I've been using Trillian for several years now, and it always annoys me when I have to download yet another patch because one of the Big Boys doesn't want the little guy playing in his yard. But what annoys me even more is Yahoo's hypocrisy. How dare they claim they're blocking Trillian because of a potential "spam problem" when they themselves are one of the major sources of spam? Together Yahoo and Hotmail account for the vast majority of e-mail spam, and practically anyone who's made the mistake of allowing their e-mail address to become public can attest to this. Tell the truth, Yahoo. You don't care about spam. You care about Trillian users reducing the profits from your ad-supported message client.
