It is worth mentioning that there are commercial/proprietary versions of PostgreSQL that run on windows. Some of these are cygwin based (mammoth, ultrasql) and some are actually rewritten to provide threaded support (powergres), but the point is that the options are available thanks to several different postgresql support companies and our business friendly licensing :-)

So if you upgrade to XP SP3 you can't uninstall Internet Explorer, I'm quite sure I'm having a Deja-vu feeling about MS preventing people from uninstalling Internet Explorer in other Windows products.
