I don't believe the authour has actually ever USED an iMac G5. Macs are very easy to criticise, because they have lower clockspeeds than wintel boxes. £919 may get you a 3.4Ghz wintel box, but even the 1.6Ghz iMac G5 can be considered faster, because a) The iMac features a 64bit processor b) The G5 inside the iMac is a RISC processor, and so is a much more efficient design than a pentium or athlon. Also, not many wintel boxes can boast a FSB of 533Mhz. The iMac may seem thin on paper to many PC buffs, but when it is used, its enchanting looks and fast speed make it an incredibly desirable machine.
