Story: Inspiron owners complain of SP2 slowdown
THERE IS NO PROBLEM HERE. SP2 MAKES SOME ENHANCEMENTS TO THE INTEL SPEEDSTEP. THIS IS WORKING AS DESIGNED. THE INTEL SPEEDSTEP LOWERS THE SPEED OF THE PROCESSOR TO LOWER THE POWER STATE OF THE PORTABLE SYSTEM TO SAVE BATTERY POWER. YOU CAN EASILY CHANGE THIS BY SETTING THE POWER SCHEME TO ALWAYS ON. THERE IS NO "FIX" NECESSARY.
