Story: Inspiron owners complain of SP2 slowdown
While, it is terribly unfortunate that there are bugs, it is a calculated risk. Anyone who expects change with zero turbulance is nieve, and irrational.
Dell's response by it's techy's is obviously company policy driven. Anyone that's worked with policies within a company know they are dumb, but they are there to keep things standardised.
Dell flaunts Windows XP but has obviously not taken the steps to test and ensure SP2's compatability on all of it's platforms. As such they haven't once publicly announced or told the consumers to update.
A resolution from Dell will come in time for those troubled users. In the mean time we will see many heated flames of irrationality from both amateurs and professionals who should know better then to panic at the first sign of incompatability.
