Story: Inspiron owners complain of SP2 slowdown
I don't have an Inspiron. I built my machine myself. When I first installed SP2 everything appeared to be ok. That is until I trired to do some DVD authoriing. Then I noticed it now took twice as long to create a DVD. Since photography and shooting videos are my hobbies I pulled SP2 off and things are back to normal. With the exception of outllok express. It's slowed way down. Looks like whateve SP2 did to that there is no backing it out. There is no way I am going to install SP2 again. I think Microsoft is in cahoots with the hardware companies to force everyone go to 4 gigihz machines. If I can find versions of the software that I use under linux I am switching. I have had enough of Microsoft.
