Story: HP backs Blu-ray DVD format

I'm not biased towards either really, but why bother with HD DVD when Blu-Ray offers better storage?
Of course, licensing and trademarks will play a part. Not sure who's responsible for making either, but obsessive (Sony-esque) control of one will make it lose, and Blu-Ray seems the most trademark-able name.
