Story: Scientists fear PC use may cause eye disease
Looks pretty bad. Sorry to see those computer users that may risk having gloucoma in their eyes. But for me, I don't have a problem. The monitor that I use is a Liquid Crystal Display (LCD); it's flat, and doesn't cause stress. Although I am visually impaired -- my optic nerve didn't develop.
For those who are near-sighted and are using a computer a lot, I would suggest you to go to www.brailleschool.com and learn Braille. While this might sould early to you (or maybe not), learning the alphabet, numbers, punctuations, Grade 2 Braille, etc. can help you get through quickly and easily and by doing so, if you start to have gloucoma or go blind, then you will know the Braille alphabet, numbers, punctuations, and if not all, some parts of Grade II Braille.
(Please note that I'm not advertising in here and I'm not meant to do that -- I'm just letting every computer users (that are near-sighted) know that they can learn Braille if they start to have problems reading print.)
