Surely if "Kazaa" is found responsible for the "ilegal" usage of the software then Microsoft has to be equally guilty for the viruses, spread of viruses, etc enabled by their software and as such much be financially responsible for recompensing everyone who has suffered a "loss".

There will be further activation issues to watch out for as Microsoft plans to offer a similar service to independent software vendors whereby they can "control" licensing through activation and other measures similar to the Software Protection Platform.
