Quite true. Rescue service personnel are in a league of their own, and are without question, providing the ultimate service to their fellow man. (i.e. risking their own life). However, I know of (many) cases where 911 services in North America, for example, have crashed using windows systems, thus leaving urgent emergency callers with a dead telephone...fortunately, more competent cities, etc. are switching to linux to provide computer services for emergency personnel, thus supporting these valiant people.
