Story: ID card details emerge in bill

hmmm not too bad, "We don't intend to hold any more information than we currently hold" but I dont like the idea of being finned a £1000 for not renewing mine, I am okay with the biometrics on my passport because i can choose not to have a passport but i will have to have my id card.
it just feels too clostrophobic, what of those that cant afford to renew, it might not be an issue if you could pay monthly, or get warnings that will reach you for renewal. But what about those who dont want too much info about them on a single database.
who can access this info, i have enough spam as it is,
