Story: Lenovo deal could open doors for JDS
To geeks I recommend SUSE or Fedora. But for non-geeks, I've found that Sun JDS linux currently selling at $50 per desktop, per year, it's a great deal.
I only wish Windows emulation (wine) was included as part of the base JDS package. I have found the required packages to run wine on jdshelp.org, however.
It will remain to be seen, anyway, what will be the price/performance ratio of lenovo PCs. For notebook, I've long said goodbye to IBM's pricier thinkpads and have choosen either Acer P4 notebooks or AMD Athlon based eMachines (now owned by Gateway).
