If China goes Linux, Windows is dead. With that kind of install base it will become lucrative to produce Linux applications as well as Windows ones. When that happens, there will be no reason to stay with Windows and every reason to change to Linux. That's what's got MS really sweating.

Of course, they're never going to go away. A company with $60 billion in spare change doesn't just disappear. They'll end up at the same kind of level as IBM - important but not mandatory.
