Hrm...

Spotlight smokes.. no doubt.. but in a way this just gives MS precedent for integrating IE deeply into their OS..

I mean.. how can any company compete with Spotlight on the Mac platform. They can't. It ceases to be a realm of competition.

Can't IE just become the status quo that ends browser development completely.

The difference is that with Spotlight.. it's light years ahead of any download.. with IE, it's only marginally better (often much much worse) than download alternatives.

So, in conclusion, IE's suckage creates the browser market, that would otherwise be nonexistent.

PS. Thank goodness for Safari..

So if you upgrade to XP SP3 you can't uninstall Internet Explorer, I'm quite sure I'm having a Deja-vu feeling about MS preventing people from uninstalling Internet Explorer in other Windows products.
