I don't see what those who decide to shop at Tesco are so concerend about. Everyone knows that Tesco cuts corners, if you were really bothered about their practices why shop for meat there when you can support your local butcher. Why get fish there when you can get it from your local monger.

The food sourced is in the cheapest manner possible with scant regard for the end user, the shopper. Privacy concerns have little bearing on Tesco's conscience, they want to progress even further past the £2bn barrier.

Look at another retailer, one whose reputation is all about customer care and quality produce, M&S. Thier RF-ID tagging of clothes was hailed by privacy groups as the way to go, if you really want to stop companies then don't buy their produce. Go to M&S and let the market know how you want things to be done.
