I found a great (and free!) VPN software to encrypt all my wireless communications called "iPig".

It is basically a *free* VPN service, but it also allows you to set up your own(!) VPN server very
easily. That makes it really unique! For up to five users, the server is freeware (download from http://www.iopus.com/ipig )
