Story: KDE getting ready to go native on Windows
These people who whine about "If all the good software is on Windows, people will never switch to Linux!" have never been an IT administrator for a company that insists on a Windows-only network. I am a loyal Linux user, and I use Linux on my personal computers. However, at work, I have no choice but to use Windows, and I have long pined for one of the open-source alternatives to MS Outlook to be ported to Windows (I.E. Evolution or KMail). If this is the reason that hasn't happened yet, then all you Open-Source advocates need to stop being so elite. People will use and LOVE your software if you make it available. People might even eventually switch to Linux. But until Linux is a reasonable Windows alternative for average computer users (and I'm not talking about the moms and pops who just need email and web browsing), most people are not going to make the switch. So in the mean time, give us some options!
