I had to visit my 12 year old son's school last week and meet with the head because of complaints about his website. The staff had tried to access it from the school computer and found it blocked. They said had he used the school equipment he would have been excluded. He refuses to close the site as he says it is an out of school activity and none of their business. The head was deeply shocked by the swearing and adolescent smuttiness, and probably equally shocked when I said I thought it was pretty standard stuff for his age group. He tells me many other kids in his year have their own sites with similar content. It seems he's the fall guy.
