Thank You RedHat.

It is time to rethink the PC. From a time when memory was small, buses were slow and storage media was limited, we traveled over 30 years and little has changed in the basic operation. Let us get past the petty profit margins on BIOS and first level OS routines - Let us all consider an OpenSouce Base Plateform. If everyone can see the base then everyone can see the flaws. If everyone can see the flaws then everyone can contribute to the design of a truly secure PC starting at the hardware level. Software methods of security will always be after thoughts and illusionary. Help stop crackers before the attack. Today's prevention methods are after thoughts - they need not be. I do belive any individual who provides the time and effort should profit. I do not consider stomping out millions of copies of a software package in a no-choice environment to be putting in time or effort. Let custom applications make the profits they deserve. As for the rest, give them a just wage for their labors. I will continue to spend my hard earned money to uphold all copyrights. Copying copyrighted software is like shooting oneself in the foot. The Markets will work.

P.S. When will the media get the terms correct - crackers are the unethical guys not hackers
