Story: Benchmarks: Intel's 64-bit Pentium 4 660
Mostly directed at ubah Linux hardcorz:
How about you stfu and use what you want to use, the "other" OS users stfu and use what they want to use, and stop throwing stones in glass houses.
I've dealt with windows dll-hell. I've dealt with linux and unix library versioning/patching/etc. nightmares. I've dealt with complete windows morons, as well as blithering linux idiots who think they are smart because "oh, I recompiled my kernel last night" and looked like a deer in headlights when I asked, "why?"
I guess, to me, it's all the same. I just want to actually "use" my computer, and both Windows and Linux has failed me, many, many times. For most of what I want to do, however, Windows gets me there faster, more consistently.
I suppose that, sometime in the future, when I have need to recompile my kernel or edit some /etc files on a daily basis, you can go ahead and recommend Linux, but until then, stuff it and do things your way, while I do them mine.
