Story: Apple suit under fire
Its not a question of journalistic rights, its a question of breaking the law, and the only view point that counts is that of the court, who appear to be on Apples side. The issue will be decided next week when the judge hands down his findings. All the legal squealing in the world won't do any good. When a journalist endangers the future of a company and its employes by printing inside company information for personal gain, it's criminal. That appears to be the way the judge is leaning, based on his preliminary findings. The media in general needs to be more professional or have it forced on them when they step over the line, as is the case in this issue. He's just a poor university freshman defense is crap, and his being supported by various professors and people in the higher education fields just points out the deplorable state of that institution. The legal profession has made its own reputation, but that's another issue. Just my 2 cents.
that really counts
