Story: Next-gen viruses need next-gen responses

If the virus writers win this round, they haven't won the war, but they will do damage to 'Uncle Bill' and we'll fight the next stage with UNIX. The primary loser will be Microsoft, whose dominance may prove to be it's weekness. In the long term they should be leading the charge to 'open' the virus defenitions or perhaps they will become just a (large) footnote in the history of software.
