On the 7th of march my PC got infected by "Bropia" worm. It took me nearly four days to reestablish some kind of functionality on my PC Not to forget to mention that automatic updates from Windows XP and McAfee virus and Firewall plus where on. PC was in "stand-by" with MSN Messenger on, running in the background was I-tunes playing smooth jazz.com music.Without ANY action from my side thing installed itself on my pc. None of active programs presumed to protect my PC did react and could resolve the problem. Via other pc on my home network(not infected!!!) I have collected information about "Bropia" and found ultimate virus scan that resolved the problem in "safety mode with network" It's a German AntyVir program thet did tremendous work and as the only one from all other online virus scanners and instaled McAfee managed to remove the Bropia and made my pc WORK!If you have a problem with bropia trust my words and check this lovely program on: http://www.free-av.com/
As you can see, it is realy free for home users, but not for companys.
And if you think that it was all,you are mistaking. There where no virus scanner can get is in your "System restore" a file that residues and waits to burst out as "CROG" virus. Every time Windows want to make a restore point it tryes to get out and infect your comuter and rest of internet.I have tryed to contact McAfee, and Microsoft about this problem but haven't heard from them eversince. I have payed for their software to protect my hardware, files, privacy ....... so did millions of users.
In the meanwhile I dissabled the system restore on my PC and not desturbed by constant popup from McAfee saying :"virus as been found and deleted "every few hours several times in a row.It is there, i know it and you are unable to realy deleet it from anny pc.
Is there somebody who can explain it how to resolve this problem without "Format:C\"
