Story: EC awaits Microsoft's full antitrust compliance
This whole Media Player business is just a pointless canard.
Other competing Operating Systems provide Media Players bundled with their offerings as a matter of course. So why shouldn't Microsoft?
The real issue is locked away data formats. If the EU really want to deal with anti-competitive practises they should insist that Microsoft open up its data formats to allow interoperability with competing products.
But of course, that would be too sensible, and let's face it, we are talking about the EU here.
